Culture & Language
Culture and Language is who we are at Girraween Primary School. Our approach to culture and language is evidence-informed and draws on
-
Restorative Practices (repair over punishment)
-
Explicit teaching of prosocial language
-
Oral language development (teaching the words children need for conflict resolution)
-
Co-regulation and emotion coaching (Zones of Regulation)
As part of our School Priorities, we aim to continue to strengthen our culture
and language focus in partnerships with students, families and the community.
